These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of HanuMisite: A Web-Based Mangyan Language Translation Dictionary and Pronunciation Learning Platform ("the Platform"). By creating an account, registering, or otherwise using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms in full.

1. Purpose of the Platform

The Platform is designed to promote cultural preservation, education, and improved communication by providing translations, pronunciation guides, and learning materials for the Mangyan languages alongside Tagalog and English. It is intended for educational and informational purposes only.

2. User Responsibilities

• You agree to use the Platform respectfully, especially when engaging with cultural and linguistic content of the Mangyan communities.
• You must not upload, share, or use any content that is harmful, discriminatory, or disrespectful to the Mangyan people or any other group.
• You agree to provide accurate and truthful information when registering.
• You must not use the Platform for any illegal or exploitative purposes.

3. Cultural and Linguistic Ethical Considerations

The Platform respects the cultural significance of the Mangyan language and heritage. By using the Platform, you agree to the following:

• To honor and respect the traditional meanings, context, and pronunciation of Mangyan words and expressions.
• Not to misuse, distort, or commercialize Mangyan language materials without proper consent from recognized cultural representatives or elders.
• To acknowledge that the language belongs to the Mangyan communities and should be preserved in its authentic form.
• That any recordings, translations, or cultural materials may only be used for educational and preservation purposes, in compliance with the Indigenous Peoples Rights Act (IPRA) of the Philippines.

4. Cultural and Linguistic Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy in translations and pronunciations, the Platform may contain variations due to dialect differences, evolving language use, or human error. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy, and we encourage consultation with native speakers for critical or sensitive use cases.

5. Privacy & Data Usage

Personal information you provide will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and processing of your data for account management, verification, and communication purposes. We will not sell or misuse your data.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Mangyan Mission, its partners, and developers are not liable for any loss, damage, or harm resulting from:

• Reliance on translations, pronunciations, or learning materials provided.
• Any technical issues, interruptions, or downtime of the Platform.
• Unauthorized access to your account or data despite reasonable security measures.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, including but not limited to text, audio recordings, and images, is owned by the Mangyan Mission or its contributors, unless otherwise stated. Unauthorized reproduction, modification, or distribution is prohibited without prior written consent.

8. Modification & Termination

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Acceptance

By clicking "Register" or checking the "I Agree" box, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions. You agree to comply with all guidelines and to respect the cultural integrity of the Mangyan communities.
